Signature Claims (formerly Express Claims Center) is growing and now seeking a qualified candidate to fill the new role of Signature Auto Claims Manager I/II.  This role will report directly to the AVP and Manager - Signature Claims.  This team handles first-party personal lines and commercial lines auto exposures with no dollar limit. 

This role will directly manage a team of Signature Auto Claims Specialist I/II associates and work alongside the other Signature Claims Managers (Auto and Property) in overseeing the day-to-day work product of the assigned group. 

Starting pay: The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $115,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • directly manage a team of Signature Auto Claims Specialist I/II associates handling moderate complexity auto volume and exposures
  • complete all day-to-day oversight of assigned team, handle timecard approvals including PTO requests and coordination of schedules, performance evaluations, one-on-one discussions, promotion reporting and personnel issues in collaboration with human resources
  • prioritizes, champions and demonstrates associate education including technical skill development, self-improvement and designation study
  • primary contact regarding customer service items or issues regarding assigned team
  • primary backup for other Signature Managers (Auto and Property) when they are out of the office
  • complete minimum quarterly routine closed-file reviews for assigned associates
  • hold regular team meetings and communicate, coordinate, and facilitate the flow of information to and from the team, the AVP and Manager- Signature Claims and claims leadership
  • working alongside the other department managers, own, maintain and proactively improve the department's licensing and training programs and processes 
  • monitoring and supporting exceptional claim service to ensure high customer satisfaction through monitoring internal customer service metrics and results
  • assist with multiple ongoing long-term department projects and a desire to develop new workflow processes and ideas

Be equipped with:

  • a proactive, growth-oriented mindset, positive attitude and servant-leader mentality
  • high emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a drive for self-improvement
  • demonstrated prior leadership or adjusting experience with Signature Claims or as a multi-line field adjuster or claims manager OR significant prior leadership experience with another carrier or in another industry
  • sound judgment and decision-making skills in a high-volume claims environment and the ability to role-model professional behavior to others
  • a strong desire to innovate and generate new ideas regarding the future of the department
  • working knowledge of CIC's reserving philosophy and escalation processes
  • expertise with both first-party property and auto coverage.  Experience and exhibited ability to evaluate and apply accurate coverage interpretation
  • strong interpersonal and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • demonstrates an understanding of state fair claims practice laws

Bring education or experience from

  • Bachelor's degree, graduate or professional study preferred
  • AINS, AIC, AIM, CPCU and/or equivalent designations preferred
  • prior project or initiative leadership and/or participation beneficial
