Job description

AdventHealth Medical Group, in collaboration with AdventHealth Daytona Beach, is seeking an Endovascular Fellowship-Trained Neurologist or Interventional Neuroradiologist to join their expanding Neuroscience program in AdventHealth's East Florida Division. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive neurointerventional and stroke care within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and research. The successful candidate will contribute to a growing healthcare network with a commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate service.

Practice Info

  • Join a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuroradiologists.
  • The primary campus is AdventHealth Daytona Beach, which is the main referral center for a division of 7 hospitals.
  • The hospital is completing a 200+ bed tower expansion, leading up to 550+ beds, and adding 10 additional operating rooms.
  • The hospital is a soon to be 462-bed facility.
  • The hospital offers award winning services to the Volusia/Flagler County areas including a state-of-the-art Birth Care Center, Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center, Neurosurgery, Open Heart, Bariatric Surgery, and a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
  • The hospital is accredited with organizations such as CARF, The Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer, Primary Stroke Center, Diabetes Education Program for Excellence, and is the area's first accredited chest pain facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive neurointerventional and stroke care at AdventHealth Daytona Beach as the primary campus.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary cerebrovascular programs, including acute stroke intervention, aneurysm and AVM treatment, and advanced Neuro-Endovascular procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and consults within the hospital and Neuro ICU at AdventHealth Daytona Beach with APP support.
  • Contribute to establishing an outpatient follow up clinic with APP support.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery through ABNS.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Neurology or Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Neuro-Endovascular Surgery (Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology).
  • Board eligibility or certification in Neurology or Radiology.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Preferred Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in independent Neuro-Endovascular procedures (diagnostic angiography, thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, AVM/AVF embolization, carotid stenting, etc.).
