Aviva offers a full continuum of care including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. Our non-profit organization believes in a reverence for life and was founded on traditional Jewish values.

Job Description

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing cleaning procedures with an energetic, friendly and compassionate way across campus. This position would work in the Anchin Assisted Living & Memory Care, a 70-bed Assisted Living facility that provides traditional assisted living and memory care support, Benderson Skilled Nursing and Rehab is a 45-bed boutique Skilled Nursing facility and Kobernick Independent Living offering residents 187 spacious studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and deluxe rental apartments.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Housekeeper is expected to consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months' experience preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in healthcare/senior living preferred.
  • Ability to consistently arrive to work on time.
  • Must be able to speak and read basic English
  • Basic proficiency in computers
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, and push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 150 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks, and to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, with the occasional weekends as needed.
