Prior USAF, USN, USMC service members with CV-22, CMV-22, MV-22 or C-130J experience are encouraged to apply.
About the role
PKL Services Inc. will be providing aircraft cleaning, washing, and organizational level ("O" Level) maintenance in support of squadrons within Marine Aircraft Logistics Squadron (MALS-24). Work will primarily be performed on MV-22 & C-130 aircraft at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
This will be a full time but temporary position. Duration of employment is TBD.
The Aircraft Mechanic II (MV-22 Avionics) performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on aircraft airframe, power plants, corrosion control and painting, electrical and related fuel systems for T/M/S/ aircraft hired to maintain. The mechanic also performs flight line essential services as directed by the daily Flight Schedule.
Additional duties include:
  • Wash and clean aircraft exterior and aircraft components utilizing high pressure wash system.
  • Performs pre/post wash lubrication and corrosion control of aircraft.
  • Perform Scheduled and unscheduled Maintenance actions as required.
  • Inspect and maintain aircraft avionics and electrical and environmental components.
  • Inspect Mechanic I's & II's aircraft work.
  • Perform diagnosis, adjustments, repairs, and replacement of faulty aircraft electrical, environmental and avionics equipment/components.
  • Troubleshoot avionics instrumentation, navigation, environmental control systems, and electrical components and assemblies utilizing wiring schematics and diagrams.
  • Ensures aircraft and equipment forms and Maintenance Information System documentation is complete, accurate and accomplished.
  • Ensures strict compliance and adherence with environmental directives and applicable environmental protection/compliance guidance.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government safety directives, standards, and industrial safety publications.
  • Responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft maintenance efforts.
  • Will be required to cross train on the C-130J aircraft platform.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the Aircraft Site Manager.

About you
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Shall be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) card privileges to ensure access to flight line workspaces and critical information systems.
  • Four (4) years previous experience in troubleshooting and repair on the MV-22 series aircraft or possess equivalent industry experience such as Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or Federal Communication Commission (FCC) license or greater
  • Shall have completed the appropriate Navy Skills Specialty Class "C" school for the Avionics MOS /NEC /AFSC.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently, without technical guidance, to perform all tasks outlined in the Interactive Electronic Maintenance Manual (IETM).
  • Within 90 days of hiring, applicants will be required to have the technical ability to qualify as a MV-22 Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI)
  • Will be familiar with all publications relevant to the maintenance of the MV-22 appropriate to the assignment and have a thorough practical and theoretical knowledge of the equipment/systems.
  • Shall possess a thorough understanding or become familiar and proficient with NALCOMIS OOMA automated maintenance documentation system within 90 days of employment.
  • Able to correctly interpret schematic diagrams and technical data.
  • Correctly demonstrate use and care of power tools, test equipment and precision measuring devices in the maintenance and repair of aircraft.
  • Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's License.
  • If deemed by the Site Manager, this individual must acquire all Support Equipment licenses that are required for the position.
  • Shall perform requirements in a manner that meet or exceeds CNAFINST 4790.2 series, applicable Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Standard Operating Procedure (NAMPSOPs), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) and local NAMSOP instructions.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
  • Will traverse into high noise workshop areas or near active jet aircraft operating ramps.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.

  • This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
