We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Avionics Technician to join our expanding team. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of avionics systems on general aviation and business-class aircraft. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership abilities and demonstrate in-depth technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert for the Avionics service team

• Supervise and mentor junior technicians, ensuring quality and safety across all tasks.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics using specialized tools and software.

• Interface with engineering and management teams to ensure proper workflow and accurate documentation.

• Maintain and interpret aircraft wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

• Ensure work order completion, and progressive sign-off IAW RSQCM and regulatory compliance.

• Participate in training and process improvement to stay current with evolving avionics technologies.

• Actively works to simplify for efficiency, ease of work performance, quality, and turnaround time. Ensures that safe work practices are employed consistently on each aircraft job or throughout the shop.

• Supports and adheres to safety, environmental, and general housekeeping policies. Is proactive in the area of safety; promotes safe work habits to the crew, monitors the work environment for safety hazards and takes steps to address/remove hazards.

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude with compromising quality.

• Performs other duties as required by the department.

Position Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in corporate aviation.

• Previous Supervisory or Lead experience a plus.

• Must have demonstrated exemplary technical ability in specialty area.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical avionics problems.

• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple activities to achieve quality maintenance within established time frame.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.

• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.

• Ability to work outside of designated work hours, as well as weekends/overtime.

• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.

• Ability to think clearly, speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person.

Preferred Skills and certifications:

• A&P License or FCC License preferred

• Strong troubleshooting skills of complex avionics equipment and systems

THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Salary $40-45 hr.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, StandardAero considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
