Chipton-Ross is seeking 10 Avionics Technicians for a contract opportunity in Victorville, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- 5 years of professional experience with avionics
- Must know how to run a flight deck with little to no help
- Experience with hydraulics - seeking candidates who know how to turn hydraulics on, etc.
- Experience with flight controls
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs final component installation and systems operational functional testing
- Troubleshoots pre-flight and post-flight functions for delivery, inspect and document non-conformance on items with medium complexity.
- Project : 787 Aircraft modifications
- Maintain a clean and FOD free work area
- Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Client experience is a plus
- A&P certification is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLifting, bending, standing, operating machinery, working outside 30% of the time.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONEducation/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
TRAVELThere is possible travel for training.
WORK HOURSFULL TIME/VARIABLE SHIFT: 1st and 2nd shift - all candidates submitted must be willing to work both shifts.

ADDITIONALThis work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
