Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Description
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that products and materials meet both internal and external quality requirements. This role involves measuring objects or parts against specifications and drawings, reporting findings, and providing problem-solving resources as needed. You will support various departments, including Operators, brazing, testing, and assembly areas, to ensure specifications are met.
Responsibilities
- Establish quality standards for the products produced by the company.
- Read drawings and specifications to ensure operations meet production standards.
- Recommend necessary adjustments and changes to production processes.
- Inspect and test materials as required.
- Use gadgets such as micrometer screw gauges to measure products.
- Remove products that don’t meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product quality.
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team.
- Perform random inspections to assess product quality.
- Take on other duties or assist in other departments as needs change.
- Clean work area to meet 5S standards.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in inspection, production, and quality control.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform quality assurance and visual inspection.
- Experience with mechanical tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.

Work Environment
This position is for the second shift, running from approximately 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees must attend a daily meeting at 2:30 PM. The building is equipped with new air conditioning and is kept very clean.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
