Job description

Build Something That Matters: Construction Project Manager at Boyer Commercial Construction

Location: Columbia, SC — Serving the Carolinas, Georgia & Tennessee

Ready to Lead Projects That Shape the Region?

Boyer Commercial Construction is looking for a driven Construction Project Manager to own high-impact commercial projects from groundbreaking to ribbon-cutting. If you thrive on solving problems, building relationships, and delivering excellence on every job site—this is your opportunity.

We're a full-service commercial builder with deep roots across the Southeast (based in Columbia, SC since day one). We work on everything from state-of-the-art medical facilities to federal aviation projects, and we're known for one thing above all: exceptional client communication and flawless execution.

What You'll Do
  • Own the project from day one. Manage scheduling, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and quality control. Be the point person clients trust and respect.
  • Lead with precision. Use industry-leading tools (Procore, P6) to keep projects on time and on budget. Manage projects ranging from $1M to $10M+.
  • Champion quality. Conduct site inspections, manage shop drawings, and enforce safety standards. Your attention to detail becomes the project's best asset.
  • Build relationships. Communicate progress to clients, stakeholders, and trade partners. Weekly reports with updates and photos. Quick responses. No surprises—only solutions.
  • Develop your team. Mentor project coordinators and field crews. Help them grow while raising project standards across the board.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years managing commercial or heavy civil construction projects (no exceptions—we need proven experience)
  • Proficient in project management software (Procore, P6, or similar) and comfortable troubleshooting logistics
  • A problem-solver who thinks two steps ahead and communicates early
  • Detail-oriented with strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA safety standards, and quality control
  • Comfortable in the field and on the phone. You own your projects.
  • A track record of keeping clients happy

    Why Boyer Stands Out
    • Work on meaningful projects. Healthcare facilities, federal infrastructure, corporate campuses—your fingerprints end up on buildings that matter.
    • Be part of a quality-first culture. Our clients rave about us. One banker told us we're the best contractor she's ever worked with. That doesn't happen by accident.
    • Grow into leadership. We promote from within. Strong project managers become project directors, superintendents, and beyond.
    • Competitive package. Solid salary, health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and a team that respects the work you do.
    • Headquartered right here. No corporate politics—just a tight team in Columbia that cares about results.

Boyer Commercial Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
