HDR is seeking an experienced Aviation Planner to help grow our aviation planning group. As an Anchorage, Alaska based Aviation Planner, you will support existing avaiation planning work and pursue new projects long-term. The successful candidate will perform consultant aviation planning tasks including airport layout plans, airport master plans, as well as airport operations, planning, and security.
In the role of Aviation Planner, we'll count on you to:
  • Complete aiport planning tasks, master plans, airport layout plans, air space studies, terminal planning, and related items.
  • Participate in the NEPA process.
  • Planning activities in support of final design projects.
  • Knowledge of aviation market in Alaska, including client relationships and past project experience.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • AAAE Certified Member
  • Relationships and a history of working with the Alaska DOT&PF

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or closely related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with transportation planning
  • MS Office, CAD, ArcInfo/ArcView
