As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts—including standard day shifts, 2nd shift, weekend shifts, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be flexible and willing to be assigned to any shift based on operational needs.

Built on a foundation of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results, we are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless operation. In this exciting role, you will support the bidding process for potential projects, oversee maintenance planning and scheduling functions, and develop efficient workflows and sequences for maintenance visits. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in digital data gathering to aid bid work for future maintenance projects.
  • Performs data entry tasks to translate customers’ work-scope specifications into work instructions
  • for upload into Ascent’s ERP system.
  • Assists in the preparation of work packages for operations, including assembly of work cards,
  • sorting, printing, and other administrative tasks
  • Identify, gather, and sort required technical data from various aircraft maintenance manuals
  • Navigates governmental and manufacturer websites/portals to retrieve and sort applicable airworthiness directives, service bulletins, engineering orders, and other documentation required for work packages.
  • Assist in loading and setting up project control booths.
  • Perform essential Production Control Administrator duties as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent cross-functional teaming, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to lead, work independently and in a team environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree, post-secondary education, training in aircraft maintenance, or equivalent education or experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills; Office Administration background a plus.
  • 2 or more years of experience in aircraft maintenance with planning at an MRO or similar industry.
  • A&P License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching to shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

  • ERP systems, Excel for tracking, Microsoft programming for team communications.
  • Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines, support servers,
  • 3D and Label printers, handhelds and troubleshoot problems with equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position will reside in an office inside an aircraft hangar, computer rooms, various offices/departments throughout the facility.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.

- In all cases, the employee must notify his/her supervisor of any actions taken by the employee. The first employee to observe an accident or incident should take immediate action to alert appropriate responders/supervision and to take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, or damage.
