The Production Control Clerk performs a variety of clerical and administrative tasks supporting the efficient flow of aircraft and component maintenance. This role maintains accurate records, tracks maintenance status, coordinates across departments, ensures documentation completeness, and helps uphold FAA standards and contractual requirements. The Clerk serves as the central point of contact for production information, updates maintenance schedules, expedites parts and labor, and manages customer documentation packages.
This position is contingent on successful contract award to V2X.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and track aircraft and component maintenance to ensure timely completion and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records: schedules, job status, work orders, discrepancy logs, and documentation packages.
  • Update and manage maintenance schedules; monitor WIP, aging, and turnaround times.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for production information; publish daily status, constraints, and priorities.
  • Identify and resolve part / tooling shortages by liaising with Purchasing, Supply / Stockroom, and Maintenance.
  • Expedite parts, labor, and approvals to maintain efficient production flow and meet TAT commitments.
  • Ensure quality and FAA compliance in documentation; verify completeness and accuracy prior to customer delivery.
  • Support audits and data calls; prepare reports and metrics (e.g., backlog, on-time performance, rework, MTTR).
  • Enter, update, and reconcile data in CMMS / ERP systems; assist with work order creation/closure.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental communication (Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Supply, and Customer Service).
  • Maintain document control standards, versioning, and retention per company and contract requirements.
  • Uphold safety, security, and ethical standards at all times.

Work Conditions:
  • Contingent upon contract award.
  • Primarily office / production-support setting with frequent interaction with maintenance and supply personnel.
  • May require occasional overtime, shift flexibility, and on-call support during surge periods.
  • Ability to sit / stand, lift up to 25 lbs., and move within hangar / maintenance environments safely.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of production control, maintenance support, or logistics coordination (aviation environment strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes and FAA compliance expectations for documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and maintenance tracking / ERP systems.
  • Strong data accuracy, organization, and record-keeping skills in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Army aviation or military aircraft maintenance support (e.g., training base operations).
  • Familiarity with CMMS / ERP tools (e.g., GCSS-Army, ULLS-A(E), Maximo, SAP, or similar).
  • Knowledge of DA Form 2407/2408 series or equivalent aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Experience supporting AS9110 / ISO 9001 quality environments.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and customer service; able to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills; able to prioritize competing demands.
  • Problem-solving mindset; comfortable expediting and negotiating constraints.
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and results orientation.

Certifications & Training:
  • FAA regulatory / compliance training (preferred).
  • Production control / logistics certification (e.g., APICS / CPIM, or equivalent) (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 or Safety training (preferred).
  • HAZMAT / Shipping awareness, if applicable to parts movement (preferred).

Clearance Requirement:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance as required by the contract (Public Trust or Secret level, as applicable).
