Position Description: The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of materials throughout the production process. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods are properly received, issued, stored, and shipped according to company procedures. This is a 1st shift position, Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming raw materials. Verify quantities and quality against packing lists and purchase orders. Safely transport materials to designated storage areas.
  • Pull and issue materials as required for production jobs. Ensure timely delivery of materials to the production floor, maintaining accurate records of all material movements.
  • Return unused or excess materials from production back to inventory. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and recorded in inventory systems.
  • Package, label, and prepare finished goods for outgoing shipments. Coordinate with shipping personnel to ensure orders are complete, accurately documented, and shipped on time.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed, including inventory counts, warehouse organization, and supporting other departments as required, including cross training in Shipping/Receiving.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing environment a plus
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking
  • Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Moderate to advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications
Requirements:
  • Stand continuously - 8-10 hours daily
  • Lift occasionally - up to 50 lbs.
  • Walk frequently - 4-8 hours daily
  • Push/Pull, Reach above, bend/stoop, fine manipulation - Occasionally
