LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $71.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Applies chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods.

  • Provides technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication.

  • Performs root-cause investigations and implements corrective and preventive actions for material and process issues.

  • Creates and executes test plans, writes reports, and provides input to specifications for materials, tools, and processes.

  • Qualifies and approves equipment, materials and processes.

  • Guides material testing in the Materials and Processes Laboratory.

  • Coordinates with Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.

  • Integrates new technologies and promotes standardization across product lines.

  • Manages test or audit programs and ensures regulatory and contractual compliance incorporating EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles.

  • Applies knowledge of composite failure modes and failure analysis.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree.

  • Preferred: 1+ years working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques.

  • Preferred: Hands-on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives.

  • Preferred: Experience with composite failure modes (structural and nonstructural) and failure analysis.

  • Preferred: Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans.

  • Preferred: Ability to read engineering drawings and use Microsoft Office products.
