Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled A&P Aircraft Mechanic to join our client's general aviation piston fleet in Phoenix, AZ. Working within a collaborative hangar environment, this technician will perform routine airframe and engine inspections, diagnostic repairs, component servicing, and airworthiness logbook sign-offs. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute mandatory 100-hour inspections, annuals, routine servicing, and corrective repairs across single-engine piston aircraft per 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91 protocols.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex system malfunctions on piston airframes, engines, and mechanical systems.

  • Complete accurate maintenance logbook sign-offs and maintain digital records using Microsoft Office and Talon RMS computer maintenance systems.

  • Read and interpret technical data including maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs).

  • Maintain strict shop safety practices, proper handling of aviation fuels and solvents, and clean hangar work areas.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required at time of hire.

  • Minimum of 3 recent, consecutive years of post-graduation General Aviation (GA) maintenance experience as a certificated A&P (School or apprentice time does not fulfill this requirement).

  • Direct hands-on maintenance experience with single-engine general aviation piston aircraft (e.g., Cessna 172/152, Piper Archer/Cherokee, Diamond DA40/42, or Cirrus).

  • Possession of a personal set of hand tools appropriate for standard GA servicing and maintenance.

  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable navigating digital maintenance management platforms (Talon RMS).

  • Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied indoor/outdoor environments, and perform prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and stooping.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Active Inspection Authorization (IA) license OR eligibility/interest in obtaining an IA certification.

  • Direct hands-on maintenance experience on Piper aircraft platforms.

  • Practical experience working around Garmin G1000 glass cockpit systems.

  • Strong independent decision-making capability regarding aircraft airworthiness and workflow priority adjustments.
