Join Ascent Aviation Services as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, where precision and reliability drive everything we do. In this vital role, you’ll support logistics and reclamations by managing the flow of aircraft materials with accuracy and care, ensuring our operations uphold our core values of Respect, Safety, Quality and Results. You’ll help keep our hangars running efficiently and our customers’ expectations soaring high.

As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and 12-hour schedules. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work any shift based on operational needs. Overtime—both scheduled and unscheduled, including holidays—may also be required. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies, controls, separates, and maintains all incoming parts under FAA receiving and shipping regulations.
  • When supporting reclamations, ensure all parts are properly cleaned, tagged, and documented accurately.
  • Perform accurate data entry for all parts based on process tags.
  • Verify materials against invoices or packing slips to ensure accuracy. 
  • Monitor shelf life of materials and ensure tooling meets load test and calibration requirements.
  • Uphold company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare and review shipments for outside sales customers.
  • Ensure all packages are properly labeled according to carrier requirements.
  • Maintain familiarity with the Ascent Aviation Services Inspection Procedures Manual and Shipping & Receiving SOPs.
  • Communicate effectively with your area of responsibility, keeping team members informed of daily operations, performance indicators, and upcoming plans.
  • Conduct safety checks and maintain compliance within the stores area.
  • Maintain and issue first aid supplies as needed.
  • Document all training received and ensure sign-off by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards.
  • Take appropriate action to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:  

  • Capable of working with and without supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical data as relevant to the position.
  • Excellent attention to detail and mathematical proficiency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Forklift experience and the ability to become company certified.
  • Previous Shipping & Receiving experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. 
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • The work location will include aircraft Maintenance hangars, reclamations department, and the Avionics shop.
  • Potential hazards include exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on the Safety Data Sheets, and working around moving machinery. 

OTHER DUTIES: 

  • May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.  
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.

  • Employees shall participate in safety education programs and train to recognize hazards on the job and how to report them promptly. As a condition of employment, each member of Ascent Aviation agrees to report errors, incidents, and accidents honestly. 
  • An employee who observes an unsafe action or condition should bring it to the attention of supervisors and managers. Certain conditions may allow the employee to easily correct or condition a situation.
