They are seeking to hire a sixth to eigth (6th-8th) year senior associate or Of Counsel attorney for their New York-based offices which have a focus in aviation and transportation financial transactions and global asset finance practice groups.

§ Duties:

The Senior Aviation Finance Architect will serve as a primary lead on sophisticated domestic and international asset-backed securitizations and credit facilities. This role requires a high degree of autonomy in managing the lifecycle of a transaction, from initial structuring to final execution.


Core responsibilities include:

⨖ Orchestrating the financing, leasing, and acquisition of high-value aviation assets, including commercial aircraft, engines, and related aerospace equipment.

⨖ Navigating complex regulatory frameworks, specifically regarding the Cape Town Convention and International Registry requirements, to ensure the perfection of international interests.

⨖ Drafting and negotiating bespoke credit instruments, complex indentures, and sophisticated lease agreements for transactions frequently exceeding $100 million in value.

⨖ Providing strategic counsel on the enforcement of rights and the restructuring of debt obligations within the aviation sector.

⨖ Managing multi-disciplinary teams across various jurisdictions to ensure seamless closing of cross-border joint ventures and aircraft leasing platforms.

⨖ Interpreting and applying Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) to secured lending structures and asset-backed transactions.


§ Qualifications:

⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with a record of high academic achievement.

⨖ 6-8 years of experience with substantial private practice law firm background with highly reputable or well-renowned "new york-style" law firms

⨖ Active Bar Membership in the State of New York in good standing.

⨖ Significant experience (Senior Associate or Counsel level) within the finance practice of a major international law firm.

⨖ Proven track record of managing and closing large-scale financing transactions valued at $100M+.

⨖ Deep technical proficiency in UCC Article 9, the Cape Town Convention, and general corporate law.

⨖ Prior experience involving Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported financing or capital markets-based aviation offerings.

⨖ Superior organizational capacity to manage a high-volume portfolio of concurrent matters for diverse institutional clients.
