Job Summary:

The Valet Cashier is responsible for providing optimal valet cashier services to guests by maintaining proper cash handling and cashiering duties for guests while meeting the standards outlined by Evolution Parking & Guest Services. The Valet Cashier is responsible for operating a computer terminal or cash register depending on the location. You will be responsible for maintaining daily reports from our parking management system. Greet and acknowledge guests in a friendly, professional manner and provide quick, responsive service.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide guest services in a highly professional manner always exceeding guest expectations.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of guests exiting valet.
  • Process various forms of payment such as credit cards and cash to include parking charges.
  • Reliable to count, track and monitor and return guest/owner car keys on demand.
  • Balance receipt tapes against cash drawer.
  • Accountable for all revenue during shift.
  • Investigate and resolve any out-of-balance problems.
  • Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile cash, check, coupons, hotel vouchers, and management approved complimentary parking.
  • Project currency and coin requirements and re-order, as necessary.
  • Monitor traffic flow and call management if there are extended wait times for guests.
  • Maintain orderly appearance of register area and stock supply.
  • Communicate guest requests to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent working experience.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience as a cashier.
  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry, preferred.

Skills Required

  • Above average mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to be well organized and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
