What does an average carpenter do?

An average carpenter typically constructs, installs, and repairs building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials. They may work on residential, commercial, or industrial projects, handling tasks like framing walls, installing doors and windows, building cabinets, or finishing trim work. Carpenters use a variety of tools and must read blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate work. Their daily responsibilities can vary depending on the project, but attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a carpenter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Carpenter, you need strong skills in measuring, cutting, assembling materials, and a solid understanding of building codes, typically backed by a high school diploma or apprenticeship.
