Job description

Position: Manufacturing Technician


Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor


Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing various tasks related to the production of walk-in coolers. This role involves following standard operating procedures, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The Manufacturing Technician will work closely with other team members to meet production targets and contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.


You will interact with co-workers and supervisors in a culture of accountability that values velocity, transparency, and the free exchange of information and ideas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components and subassemblies according to production specifications and blueprints
  • Operate and maintain machinery and tools used in the production process
  • Ensure products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the Manufacturing Supervisor
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with company policies and regulations
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the appropriate supervisor
  • Handle raw materials and components, including loading and unloading
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist with minor repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment
  • Work collaboratively with other manufacturing employees and departments to achieve production goals
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production progress and issues.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest improvements to production processes
  • Build pallets and crates as needed for shipments
  • Must be willing to work overtime as business needs dictate
  • Perform other duties as assigned including on other departments within the manufacturing process

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools (i.e. electric drill, jigsaw, metal snips, hammers, etc)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good physical condition and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience using measuring devices (imperial measuring system)
  • Proficient in basic mathematical functions


Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.


Language, Physical, and Travel Requirements:

  • Verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual English/Spanish desirable)
  • Extended periods of standing and performing repetitive movements
  • Occasionally lifting weights of up to 50 pounds
  • Located in daily commutable proximity to our Manufacturing Center in Azusa, California
