What You’ll Do

As an A/V Rack Specialist at Realm, you'll play a crucial role in our operations. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Assemble AV equipment racks per approved shop drawings, schematics, and rack elevations.
  • Mount AV components including DSPs, amplifiers, switchers, control processors, power distribution units, and network devices.
  • Fabricate and terminate audio, video, control, and network cabling to industry standards.
  • Perform proper cable management, labeling, lacing, and strain relief to ensure serviceability and airflow.
  • Power up racks safely and verify proper voltage, grounding, and sequencing.
  • Record, update and maintain IP address, serial and MAC address spreadsheets.
  • Prepare racks for shipment, including securing equipment and protecting cabling.

  • Understanding of AV signal flow (audio, video, control, and network.)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, rack elevations, and wiring diagrams.
