Job description

Position: Service Technician

Overview: Our Client is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to support our existing customers. We are looking for an experienced Service Technician with over 5 years of experience who is interested in transitioning to service work or someone already engaged in service work. The ideal candidate will be proficient

with Crestron and AMX systems, possess their own basic hand tools, and be skilled in using a multimeter to trace connection issues. Professionalism and

the ability to interface with enterprise customers are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues related to:
  • Custom Control systems: Crestron DM and NVX / AMX
  • Complex audio-video systems in executive board rooms and conference centers
  • Video teleconferencing equipment and systems
  • Audio Visual over IP (AVoIP) networks for audio-visual data over LAN, WAN, and internet
  • Audio DSP-based systems including amplifiers, speakers, and microphones
  • Projection display devices and systems
  • Video wall equipment and systems
  • Digital signage equipment and systems
  • RF Systems (analog and digital) to a lesser degree
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct testing and site surveys related to service agreement quotes.
  • Reporting: Write concise service reports and system site surveys.
  • Project Management: Successfully manage multiple service projects.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor junior/intermediate level field service technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • A two-year diploma from a college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • CTS certification highly preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of field service experience.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and/or crouch for long periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in high places, small cramped places, hot humid places, and cold places.
