Job description

Job Title: Technician Premium II - Technical Operations & AV Engineering Technician
Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 06 Months Long Term

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations & AV Engineering Manager to provide in-house technical leadership for the design, deployment, operation, and ongoing support of complex, high-stakes audiovisual and broadcast environments.

This individual will serve as the internal technical subject matter expert for executive boardrooms, international hearing and tribunal spaces, global conference facilities, crisis response hubs, and other mission-critical environments. The role will focus on reducing reliance on third-party contractors by establishing strong internal ownership of AV architecture, engineering standards, operational readiness, and technical consistency across global locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in AV Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, AV Systems Integration, or Enterprise Collaboration Technology.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting complex audiovisual environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Audio DSP and audio routing
    • Video distribution and signal flow
    • IP-based AV and AV-over-IP technologies
    • Broadcast and production systems
    • Video conferencing and collaboration technologies
    • Hardware codecs and control systems
    • System redundancy and failover
  • Experience supporting Simultaneous Interpretation (SI) systems and multi-language communication environments.
  • Experience integrating specialized AV hardware and platforms with solutions such as Zoom and Cisco Webex.
  • Understanding of API integration, middleware platforms, and custom technology integrations.
  • Experience supporting executive-level, high-profile, or mission-critical events and environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, live production environments.
  • Experience working with AV integrators, vendors, contractors, and hardware manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting international organizations, government institutions, financial institutions, global enterprises, or other complex multinational environments.
  • Experience with executive boardrooms, conference centers, hearing rooms, tribunal environments, command centers, or broadcast facilities.
  • Experience with enterprise AV standards, room technology standardization, and global technology deployments.
  • Knowledge of Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, enterprise video conferencing, and hybrid meeting technologies.
  • Experience with AV control systems, hardware codecs, audio processors, video routing, and IP-based media infrastructure.
