Our SDE supports AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System Architecture) and is composed of a high-performance microcontroller and an open software architecture, allowing the integration of modules from both vehicle manufacturers and third parties.
SDE focuses on collision mitigation or a significant improvement of passive safety systems based on additional environmental sensing and a high interaction between actuators. Compared to previous generation controllers, it has more sensors, with higher levels of data fusion between them arbitration between chassis systems (calling for much more processing power) and a requirement for electronic architecture flexibility to cope with different combinations of systems and functions with different fitment rates.
Primary Position Responsibilities:

- Requirements engineering for SW requirements

- Development of SW based on detailed design (Programming language: C/C++)

- Analyze problems using 8D method or similar and document results

- Test implemented SW against design specifications

- drive SW and HW team to get problems resolved

- Prototype problem resolutions in SW for verification
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electronics or software engineering Masters degree
- SW engineering experience for several years (Programming language C/C++ and Pearl / Python)
- Knowledge of GM processes and working methods. Having worked already for GM SW projects is a clear advantage
