General Description:
Astemo is a global automotive technology company focused on shaping the future of mobility. The Astemo KY facility manufactures advanced components for electric vehicles (EVs), including electric powertrain systems, as well as autonomous driving and ADAS technologies that support safer and more intelligent vehicles.
Position Summary:
The Functional Test Engineer is primarily responsible for Test Stations and Test-related procedures for mass production. Through data analysis you will develop strategies to improve HW and SW performance and stability to meet production scheduled goals and objectives. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth execution of daily production.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute functional test plans, test cases, and test procedures for automotive electronic systems
  • Validate functional requirements against design specifications and customer requirements
  • Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with design and software teams to resolve issues
  • Analyze test results and prepare clear test reports and documentation
  • Define measures for the continuous optimization of existing production test processes.
  • Ensure test equipment uptime and compliance with calibration and maintenance schedules.
  • Implementation of Engineering Changes and New Product Introductions to the production floor.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Overall understanding of the entire test process and the tradeoffs of the various test methods
  • Experience 2+ years in electronic testing within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates participative management in problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Electronic circuit design and circuit debugging.
  • Prior engineering experience in automotive / manufacturing environment. Strong computer skills. Ability to manage projects in a team environment.
  • Possess strong initiative to complete project tasks on-time and in-budget.
  • Possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.
