Work Environment: In-person
Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
    (Flexibility to work either shift is preferred)
    Assignment Length: 6-month contract
Job Description
In this role, you'll operate robot vehicles on public and private roads to support data collection, system troubleshooting, and feedback for engineering teams. Your contributions will play a vital role in refining and progressing robotic autonomous driving technology.
We're looking for individuals with prior experience in ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), familiarity with autonomous vehicle testing, and a strong commitment to safety. Comfort with long hours behind the wheel is essential.Responsibilities
  • Operate robotic autonomous vehicles safely and professionally, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain situational awareness and remain alert to road conditions, vehicle behaviour, and environmental changes.
  • Collect detailed data using proprietary software and tools, and communicate findings to engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Represent the company positively in all interactions, whether with colleagues, engineers, or the public.
  • Mentor and train fellow operators, contributing to a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Maintain organised and accurate documentation for operational and engineering use.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any field or previous autonomous vehicle testing experience.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 7 years of driving experience and a clean driving record (DMV check required).
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with troubleshooting technical tools or software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable driving in all weather conditions, including snow.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, DMV and criminal background checks, and be subject to random drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience operating or testing autonomous vehicles.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems.
Working Conditions
  • This role requires physical activity, including bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Expect to be seated in a vehicle for 4-6 hours per day.
