Autonomous Vehicle Test Driver - Safety Operator (Self-Driving Cars)
Location: Miami, FL (Local Applicants Only)
Pay: $25/hour + shift bonuses
Schedule: Full-time | Rolling Contract
About the Role
Join the future of transportation as an Autonomous Vehicle Operator (Safety Driver) in Miami, FL. You'll help test and operate self-driving ride-hailing vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable performance on real roads. This is an on-site position for local Miami-area applicants who want to work hands-on with next-generation autonomous driving technology.
What You'll Do:
  • Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles in real-world environments.
  • Take control when necessary to maintain safety.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report performance or safety issues.
  • Collect data, provide feedback to engineering teams, and support vehicle readiness.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism during all operations.

Training Provided (Paid)
  • Paid training in Las Vegas, NV (flights and hotel covered).
  • After training, daily operations resume in Miami, FL.

Pay & Schedule
  • $25/hour + up to 7% shift bonus for nights/weekends.
  • Day Shifts: 6:45 AM-3:15 PM or 7:45 AM-4:15 PM.
  • Night Shifts: 2:45 PM-11:15 PM or 3:45 PM-12:15 AM.
  • Rotating 5-day schedules: Wed-Sun, Thu-Mon, Fri-Tue, or Sat-Wed.

Requirements
  • Must live in Miami, FL and hold a valid Florida driver's license.
  • Clean driving record - no DUIs or criminal history.
  • Ability to stay focused and alert for long driving sessions (up to 8 hours/day).
  • Strong communication and tech troubleshooting skills.

What you need to qualify
  • 3 years of Professional driving experience (rideshare, delivery, or commercial).
  • Regular Driver's licence with no gaps
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or computer systems.

Hiring Process
