Job Description:
Job Summary
MPS is looking for an Applications Engineer to join the Automotive BMS Product Line. Responsibilities include testing and debugging products, developing application notes solving customer problems, creating pcb and evkits, and providing support to key customers.
Essential Functions
  • Work with technical marketing engineers, application engineers, design engineers, test engineers on to ensure product specifications are achieved
  • Create PCB schematics, bill of materials, and layouts, for evkits and reference designs
  • Support GUI and basic python scripting for the control of battery management systems
  • Assist in writing application notes, test specifications, datasheets and other customer collateral
  • Support key customers

Preferred Qualification
  • MSEE or higher
  • 2-5+ years experience (BMS experience preferred)
  • Battery knowledge such as SOC/SOH derivations
  • Experience with Cadence Orcad tool
  • Experience with DMM's, Oscilloscopes, Source Measurement Units, Signal Generator, Temperature Chamber, Spectrum Analyzers
  • Familiarity with python scripting and instrument control
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent communication in English
