Position Summary


We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Automotive Test Driver to support short-term vehicle testing initiatives for a prestigious luxury automotive manufacturer. This role involves operating test vehicles, using onboard and external equipment, and assisting with the collection and transfer of vehicle performance data.

This position provides hands-on exposure to advanced vehicle systems and prototype-style models in an active testing environment. Candidates with strong computer skills, particularly experience using Microsoft Office and Excel, are strongly encouraged to apply.


8 Week Project

Hours: 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM. Monday through Friday.

Pay Rate: $23.00/Hourly


Primary Responsibilities

  • Operate passenger and test vehicles in a safe and controlled manner
  • Monitor, record, and provide vehicle data to engineering and testing teams
  • Perform visual and functional vehicle safety checks prior to driving
  • Adhere strictly to testing instructions and accurately log test results
  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding vehicle condition, testing progress, and safety matters
  • Keep vehicles and testing equipment clean and complete routine mechanical checks as needed
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and promote overall team effort
  • Focus on meeting and exceeding Bertrandt and customer expectations
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Bertrandt and customer policies and procedures
Requirements:

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Comfortable working with computers and software applications for data entry and reporting
  • Basic mechanical understanding to identify issues and perform simple inspections
  • Communication skills, verbal and written, are a priority

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Four (4) years licensed driving experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess clean driving record and current valid CA driver’s license with no more than one violation in the past three years.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of smartphones required.
  • Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures are a plus
  • Must be knowledgeable of new vehicle features
