Job description

We are Haley Automotive Group of Central Virginia and Virginia’s oldest automotive group. We have 11 stores located in Richmond, Roanoke and Farmville. Brands we work with are Toyota, Volvo, Chevy, Buick, GMC, Ford and Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram.

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced, full-time Automotive Technicians to join the Haley team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. You will work closely with other team members to provide high-quality service to our customers. Your expertise and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
  • Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid and clean driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Automotive Technology
  • Master Mechanic **
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
  • Certification with Toyota, GM, Ford, Volvo or CDJR
  • State Inspection License
  • Experience with computer diagnostic systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

  • Performing diagnostic tests on vehicles to identity problems
  • Repairing or replacing parts as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed
  • Communicating with customers about their vehicle’s needs and providing recommendations
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
