PAY

  • $9,000 - $12,000 per month

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set department goals and objectives, and work towards achieving them.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor performance of service department staff.
  • Prepare and administer annual operating budget for the service department.
  • Maintain necessary reporting systems for general management and the factory.
  • Attend manager meetings.
  • Monitor and control department performance using reports, tracking systems, and surveys.
  • Foster harmony and teamwork within the department and across other departments.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Maintain and process all necessary documents accurately.
  • Conduct weekly department meetings.
  • Direct and schedule activities of department employees.
  • Facilitate technical training and arrange employee attendance at training schools.
  • Monitor technicians productivity and payroll records.
  • Review and initial repair orders before submitting them to the warranty department.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Communicate time allowances to repair technicians for each order.
  • Ensure high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks through periodic spot checks.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work areas and customer waiting area.
  • Cultivate relationships with vocational and technical schools for recruitment purposes.
  • Serve as a liaison with factory representatives.
  • Ensure proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.
  • Provide prompt and fair estimates to customers for repairs and maintenance.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and according to dealership guidelines.
  • Follow up with customers within 24 hours to confirm satisfaction with service.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
