Job Description

The Service Lane Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service drive, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maximizing service department efficiency and profitability. This role serves as a leader within the service team, supporting advisors, monitoring workflow, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily service lane operations and customer traffic flow.
  • Lead, coach, and support Service Advisors to achieve performance goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate write-ups, estimates, and repair order processing.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction scores and resolve customer concerns professionally.
  • Coordinate with technicians and management to improve shop productivity and efficiency.
  • Drive service sales growth through effective customer communication and maintenance recommendations.
  • Maintain compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and safety procedures.
  • 3+ years of automotive service management, service advisor, or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership service operations and repair order processes.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and motivate employees to achieve performance goals.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience using dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar platforms).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

(The Service Lane Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include a base salary. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value, or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.)
