Automotive Painter: Dixon, Illinois
Our customer in Dixon, Illinois, is seeking skilled individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Automotive Painters to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Automotive Painter, you will be responsible for prepping, painting, and finishing manufactured products and truck equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Responsibilities of the Automotive Painter:
  • Read and follow plans, material lists, and guidelines, applying necessary timelines.
  • Paint truck equipment and manufactured parts using an air spray system.
  • Prepare parts and equipment for painting using thinner, air blower, or sandblasting as needed.
  • Set up painting equipment, mix paint, and adjust equipment to produce the desired finish.
  • Manage the drying process and store painted equipment appropriately.
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
  • Conduct final inspection of finished work and complete associated paperwork.
  • Provide assistance to co-workers as requested by department management.
Automotive Painter Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Related experience or completed training in painting or finishing.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically Microsoft products.
  • Preferred: Similar or related product knowledge and experience in a production environment.
Pay for Automotive Painter: $19-$26.50/hour.
