Job Description

Under the supervision Gross Profit Manager, the Gross Profit Specialist strives to improve the NAPA Corporate and/or Associate Stores gross profit results.  He leads the analysis, problem–solving and improvement measures of gross profits margins.  He conducts steady review and analysis of results and involves all management teams in addressing and solving issues. 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Create and manage standard customer price profiles (custom pricing) at a national level as well as the criteria and guidelines for the creation of exceptions at the Regional level based on the gross profit margin standards and methods used at NAPA US.  Manage custom pricing exceptions on a national basis; 
  • Analyze individual customer’s custom pricing Vs sales, identify problem areas, develop solutions and advise and support Store and District management or Owners to correct problem areas and improve gross profit margins. 
  • Follow-up on results obtained by stores through reports analysis.  Communicate results to different management teams.  Make recommendations as to best solutions to problems identified to Regional, District, Purchasing and BMA management teams. 
  • Defines, communicate and follow-up on the implementation of policies and procedures related to the management of gross profit margins.  Follow-up and support proper implementation of policies, procedures and programs such as Master Installer.   
  • Develop or adapt and facilitate training sessions for Store management, Operations Management, Purchasing, BMA and marketing management.  
  • Conduct regular market surveys at national and regional level to keep our prices competitive.    
     
Qualifications

To join our team, you need: 

  • Business degree and/or a combination of education and experience with a strong accounting/finance component. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience with NAPA. 
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, spoken and written. In this role, you will regularly collaborate with internal clients across Canada.
  • Good knowledge of MS office, especially Excel 
  • Travel within Canada (20%)
