Job description

Job Title: Line Assembly Technician

Location: Smyrna, TN

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6AM-6PM

2nd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 6PM-6AM

 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Line Assembly Technician to support the assembly of automotive chassis in a highly automated manufacturing environment. This role involves preparing components for robotic welding, assembling non-welded parts, inspecting final assemblies, and ensuring smooth production flow. The ideal candidate will work efficiently with automated systems and follow strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, position, and secure components for robotic welding systems according to production specifications

  • Assemble non-welded chassis components such as brackets, bushings, mounts, and hardware using hand and power tools

  • Monitor robotic welding cells and support smooth material flow; report or escalate equipment issues promptly

  • Perform visual inspections on welded and assembled parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy

  • Use gauges, fixtures, and other measurement tools to confirm proper fit and alignment

  • Apply torque specifications using calibrated tools for critical fasteners

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S initiatives

  • Log production and inspection data accurately into tracking systems

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

  • Collaborate with maintenance or automation teams when robotic systems require attention

    Pay Rate:

1st Shift: $17.50

2nd Shift: $18
