Facilities Manager - Onsite
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Facilities Managerto oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic development of our world-class, multi-site Formula 1 facility, where the power unit for the Cadillac F1 Team will be produced. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and high-performance environment across all operational and office spaces at two sites, both located in Concord, North Carolina.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in facility operations, preferably within motorsports, automotive R&D, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing - and thrives in a fast-paced, high-precision working environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations and maintenance, coordinating with individual departments to support their specialized equipment needs as required.
  • Lead preventive and reactive maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and manufacturing equipment, to ensure maximum uptime and operational reliability.
  • Develop and manage a multidisciplinary facilities team, including general contracting, construction project management, maintenance, electrical and custodial personnel.
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers to deliver high-quality on-site services and staff amenities, while maintaining compliance with approved scope, budget, safety, and quality standards.
  • Manage the company vehicle fleet, including company cars, pool cars, and light-duty trucks/vans, along with on-site EV charging infrastructure, ensuring availability, compliance and cost-effective operation.
  • Ensure facility performance through routine inspections, system-based monitoring, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead capital improvement projects, facility expansions, and infrastructure upgrades, in support of company growth and evolving race support activities.
  • Forecast and manage operational and capital budgets related to facility activities and projects, optimizing cost efficiency and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, quality, warehouse, assembly and testing departments, to align facility operations with business objectives and performance targets.
  • Support the Safety and Environment teams to ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory operating requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • 8-10 years of facilities management experience, preferably in motorsports, automotive R&D, aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, safety).
  • Proven leadership, organizational and vendor management skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems, building automation, and facilities management software.

Certifications (Preferred):
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM)

Work Environment
  • Will require occasional evening or weekend work to oversee incident response or support project deliverables.
  • Ability to walk job sites and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
