Automotive Reconditioning Technician - Sewell Ford Lincoln
The Sewell Family of Companies is seeking a Reconditioning Technician to join our team, the individual will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing and troubleshooting vehicles & equipment to determine if further service work is required or recommended.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Recondition vehicles for pre-owned sales
  • Receive repair orders from the dispatcher
  • Perform work as outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately by dealership and factory standards
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required and if repairs cannot be completed within the specified timeframe
  • Keep documentation of all work performed
  • Road-test vehicles when necessary or refer to the test technician
  • Keep the shop area neat, clean and be able to always account for all dealership - owned tools
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-6pm and assigned Saturdays 8am-5pm
Skills & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
  • Background and drug screening
  • Ability to multitask
