Our client is a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier specializing in precision-engineered interior and exterior vehicle systems. For more than 24 years, we have delivered high-quality, build-to-order automotive components through advanced manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and a customer-focused culture.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer satisfaction efforts within our# Quality Manager - Automotive Manufacturing
Position Summary
The Quality Manager leads plant quality initiatives to drive continuous improvement within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee product and process quality, manage customer and supplier quality concerns, and lead corrective action efforts to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
This is a leadership role ideal for someone with strong automotive quality experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for operational excellence.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Quality Department team
  • Drive corrective actions and root cause analysis activities
  • Manage customer quality concerns and improve customer satisfaction metrics
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
  • Maintain and update AIAG Core Tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA
  • Oversee supplier quality activities, audits, and incoming inspections
  • Monitor product and process quality performance metrics including PPM, FTQ, scrap, and downtime
  • Utilize problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma tools
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations
  • Ensure proper quality documentation and reporting systems are maintained
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • 7-10+ years of automotive quality experience within a Tier 1 manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • IATF 16949
    • ISO 9001
    • AIAG Core Tools
    • 8D problem solving
    • Supplier Quality Management
  • Experience with customer quality systems and corrective actions
  • Proficiency with Minitab and quality reporting tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred
  • Master's degree
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Experience with Ford Q1 requirements
  • Multilingual capabilities
