Position Summary
Tacten is seeking professional, energetic, and forward-thinking 2nd, 3rd & 4th Year Apprentice Pipefitters to support our client site at CNRL Albian in Fort McMurray, AB!
If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.
We will certify you in IRATA Level 1 (Rope Access) course, and offer flexible project schedules that you can work throughout the year, flights, and camp/accommodations!Â
Project Details:
- Site: CNRL Albian
- Start Date: Immediate
- Local to Fort McMurray or able to fly out of Alberta Hubs (FIFO) Calgary or Edmonton
- Projects Rotations - 6/1 at 12 hours per day
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial piping systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe using hand and power tools
- Support hydrotesting, bolt-up, rigging, and system commissioning activities
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures and participate in FLHAs and toolbox meetings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with Journeyperson Pipefitters and other trades to complete work safely and efficiently
- Complete required paperwork, inspections, and daily reports as needed
- Support maintenance, shutdown, turnaround, and construction projects in oil & gas environments
- Registered Apprentice Pipefitting Certificate
- IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.
- CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
- Exceptional safety and quality awarenessÂ
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
- Valid driver's license
