Job description

Commercial Employees is hiring several Production Worker positions for a New Kensington manufacturer of anti-freeze, motor oil, and other common and well-known automotive products. Shifts are available:
  • 2nd shift 3:15 pm - 11:45 pm - $17.10 / hr

Production Worker General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Most positions are part of a production line and operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Follow established procedures to meet production targets.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Production Worker Specific Task Assignments
This large production operation has multiple departments and types of jobs that support various aspects of the production process – some specific jobs include:
  • Empty Boxes: Load cardboard boxes containing plastic bottles onto conveyor
  • Empty Bottles: Remove empty bottles from boxes and place them onto conveyor
  • May include moving waster or cardboard to designated dumpsters
  • Packer: Manually pack finished bottles into designated boxes
  • Palletizer: Stack finished cases onto pallets according to specified patterns
  • Create 2-Pack Boxes: Fold and tape boxes, insert cardboard dividers, stack them on pallets, and apply loose plastic wrap for stability
  • Drum Truck Unloading: Unload approximately 300 drums (32 lbs each) from a semi-truck 2–3 times weekly. Drums are double stacked on pallets and relocated with a forklift.

Production Worker Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic understanding of production processes and machinery
  • Requires physical stamina to perform manual labor, including prolonged standing, repetitive motions and lifting
