iPull-uPull Auto Parts operates self-service automotive recycling yards focused on providing customers with a clean, organized, and safe environment. Our team supports daily yard operations, vehicle processing, parts recovery, and material recycling.

We are seeking a dependable Automotive Production Technician to assist with vehicle preparation and yard operations.

Position Summary

The Automotive Production Technician prepares vehicles for placement in the customer-sef-service yard. This position involves removing fluids, batteries, tires, recyclable materials, and other designated components from vehicles while following company safety and environmental procedures.


The role also includes operating a forklift, maintaining work areas, using hand and power tools, and helping keep the yard organized and safe.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Drain and properly collect vehicle fluids according to company and environmental procedures.
  • Remove and properly handle batteries, refrigerants, mercury-containing components, and other regulated materials as required.
  • Remove tires and identify tires and wheel assemblies that may be suitable for resale.
  • Separate trash and non-recyclable materials from vehicles.
  • Remove designated automotive parts, cores, metals, and other recyclable materials using appropriate tools and procedures.
  • Properly mark and process vehicles after completing required preparation.
  • Separate recyclable materials from landfill materials.
  • Prepare and maintain vehicle rows and work areas.
  • Safely position vehicles within the customer yard using appropriate equipment.
  • Operate a forklift as required and in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Maintain tools and equipment and report damaged or missing equipment to the supervisor.
  • Keep assigned work areas clean and organized
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to support daily production and yard operations.


Qualifications

  • Previous automotive, recycling, production, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a production-oriented environment.
