Automotive Service Advisor – Discount Inspection & Brakes | Friendswood, TX

D.I.B. Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join the team at our Friendswood location, located at 4546 FM 2351.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced automotive professional with strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service and sales skills, and the ability to confidently manage customers and service department workflow.

This position offers an annual earning range of $62,000–$120,000, based on experience and performance, along with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, benefits, professional development support, and opportunities to grow within D.I.B. Automotive Group.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Greet customers professionally and identify their automotive service and repair needs
  • Review vehicle inspections and clearly communicate recommended repairs and maintenance
  • Explain repair recommendations, pricing, timelines, and service options to customers
  • Build customer trust while confidently presenting and selling needed repairs and maintenance
  • Coordinate with technicians to keep repairs and maintenance moving efficiently
  • Help manage daily shop workflow, technician productivity, and vehicle progress
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communications, approvals, services, and repair recommendations
  • Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, completed repairs, and overall satisfaction
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and escalations professionally
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional service department
  • Assist with coaching and developing team members when needed
  • Stay current on automotive repair procedures, technology, and service best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of automotive service advising, service management, or related automotive repair experience
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Previous leadership or management experience in an automotive service environment
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to explain technical automotive information clearly and confidently to customers
  • Ability to manage workflow, prioritize vehicles, and keep the service department moving efficiently
  • Experience with automotive diagnostic processes and shop management software
  • Familiarity with tires, inspections, preventive maintenance, and general automotive repair
  • Professional, dependable, organized, and committed to excellent customer service
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a busy, fast-paced automotive shop
