Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Paint Technician to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, has strong attention to detail, and can complete repairs efficiently while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, and sealing.
  • Mix and match paint colors accurately using manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and other automotive finishes.
  • Perform color matching and blending to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, defects, and proper coverage.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines.
  • Work closely with body technicians and estimators to ensure repairs are completed properly and on schedule.
  • Properly care for and maintain painting equipment and tools.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an automotive painter preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive paint systems, refinishing techniques, and color matching.
  • Ability to read and follow repair procedures and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
