Job description

Automotive Services Vendor Manager

The Automotive Services Vendor Manager oversees an assigned multi-state territory, developing and maintaining relationships with automotive repair facilities participating in AAA's Approved Auto Repair (AAR) program. This role ensures compliance with AAA standards, conducts facility inspections, supports business growth, resolves member service concerns, and provides consulting, training, and operational guidance to repair partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct bi-monthly and annual inspections of AAR facilities to ensure compliance with AAA standards and contractual requirements.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with repair facility owners, managers, and staff.

  • Expand and manage the AAR network in designated markets while monitoring performance and compliance metrics.

  • Investigate and resolve member concerns involving vehicle diagnosis, repair quality, costs, and service experiences.

  • Support implementation of AAR programs, value-added services, and portal training for participating facilities.

  • Consult on marketing and co-branding initiatives to maximize facility visibility and adherence to AAA brand standards.

  • Evaluate prospective repair facilities and recommend approval or denial for AAR participation.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction, address compliance issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Lead community outreach events, vehicle maintenance education programs, and member engagement initiatives.

  • Exercise sound judgment when resolving disputes and managing complex service quality concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4-6 years of automotive service, repair, or automotive operations experience.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, repair processes, and industry standards.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and required insurance.

  • ASE Advanced Engine Performance Specialist (L1) certification preferred.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$62,800.00 - $83,500.00
