The Wood Automotive Group is excited to offer an opportunity for a General Sales Manager to join the leadership team at Advantage Ford. This is an opportunity for an experienced automotive leader to take ownership of the Sales Department, develop and mentor a team, and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the dealership. Previous General Sales Manager experience working in a high-volume, metro dealership environment is an asset.

The Wood Automotive Group is looking for an exceptional General Sales Manager to lead the Sales team at Advantage Ford—someone who is passionate about developing people, building a winning culture, and driving results.

The General Sales Manager will provide hands-on leadership of the Sales Department, working closely with Sales Managers to drive performance, develop people, deliver an exceptional customer experience and support the overall success of the dealership.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Build a positive, accountable and motivated team culture.
  • Drive sales performance, customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities and implement strategies for continued growth.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, employees and dealership leadership.
  • Be proficient with CRM tools and PBS Systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop high-performing teams and future leaders.
  • 5+ years of progressive automotive management experience.
  • 5+ years of automotive Sales Manager experience and/or 3+ years of automotive Finance Manager experience.
  • Strong people skills with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to set expectations, provide meaningful feedback and build accountability.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of achieving sales, profitability and financial results.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales operations, processes and performance metrics.
  • Energetic, collaborative leadership style with a genuine passion for developing people.
