 What You Will Do:

Role Overview

The role involves working with customer organizations to support their supply chains. The Delivery Assurance Field Rep (DAFR) Team Leader key responsibilities are to monitor and drive the DAFRs to address delivery assurance risks at suppliers based on the business short and mid-term priorities. Coach and mentor the DAFRs across the role responsibilities and ensure they have effective plans and audit schedules in place to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management and Production Planning support of various OEM sites and their suppliers.
  • Build, mentor and monitor DAFR team ensuring robust visit schedules and delivery plans are in place
  • Manage team budget in-line with agreed PO values
  • Ensure DAFR engagements are successful and impactful.
  • Drive supplier success and improvement.

Load & Capacity Planning - 

  • Review team adherence to weekly/monthly Customer & Supplier Business Units metrics and adherence to plan and prioritize activity based on agreed Load & Capacity plans

Inventory management - 

  • Review supplier Line of Balance (LOB), Work In Progress (WIP) tracking, where appropriate generate and drive recovery plan during on site verification. 
  • Identify material, casting, forging, special process and manufacturing lead-times for all associated components

Cross Functional Team Member

  • Act as escalation point for the DAFR team to OEM on supplier and sub-tier supply chain issues. 
  • Facilitate Quality or Engineering issues between OEM and the supply chain.
  • Communicate status to internal and customer stakeholders at agreed intervals or when escalation is required
  • Ensure visit reports are compiled by DAFRs and program status uploaded utilizing live reporting tool and link to suppliers ERP system
  • Support: Lean Events, Assessments, Playbook Roll Out, Supplier Gold Program, Program Reviews

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in a Supply Chain / Production Planning / Quality / Operations environment
  • Previous experience of managing cross functional teams
  • Experience in using SAP or similar ERP system
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes i.e. Forging / Casting / Assembly / Machining / Special Processes 
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering, drawing and technical information
  • Some aerospace product knowledge
  • Ability to influence decision making 
  • Experience of structured problem-solving methodology: Lean / ACE, lead change/improvement activity / DMAIC / 6 Sigma etc.
  • Formal auditing qualification                    
  • Good Communication in English (oral & written) & Interpersonal skills
  • Customer Focus - Ability to build and develop Customer & Supplier relationships
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft work packages: Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Pay Range: $65k-$69k

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position is located in Windsor, CT and is considered hybrid with days required on-site.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.  
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. 

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 80% of travel is required.

Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
