Job Summary
The QN Project Team Lead at Cyient, Inc. will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of quality professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services that meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards. This role involves leading quality initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Engineers by providing coaching, regular feedback, performance evaluations, and career development support.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards in alignment with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Oversee the execution of Quality Notification (QN) activities, including tracking, monitoring, reporting, and timely resolution across multiple projects and deliverables.
  • Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders to integrate quality practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence tools to improve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver training on quality processes, project best practices, tools, and methodologies to team members and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality and project-related concerns, ensuring timely communication and effective resolution.
  • Prepare and present regular performance and quality metrics to management, highlighting key achievements, risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Utilize ACE practices to improve quality metrics, enhance team proficiency and skill matrices, increase operational efficiency, and achieve cost savings.
  • Support resource planning, workload balancing, and coordination of team activities to meet project schedules and customer commitments.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The responsibilities listed above are intended to describe the general nature of the work and are not an exhaustive list. Duties may be modified or expanded based on business needs, project requirements, operational priorities, and customer expectations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Project Management, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience relevant to leading projects in-leu of experience can also be considered towards this role.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) is a huge plus.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and tools, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement practices is a huge plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to interpret data and drive informed business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt are highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, utilities, aerospace, telecommunications, automotive, or similar technical industries is preferred.
  • Previous Quality Notification (QN), manufacturing quality, or engineering support experience is highly desirable.
