Company Description Holyoke Lock Co., Inc. is a locally focused lock and security service provider serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients in the Western MA area. The company provides a range of locksmith services, including installation, repair, and maintenance of locks, keys and related hardware, as well as providing security system installations / service and automotive key programming. Team members work with a variety of security products and custom solutions designed to meet each customer’s needs. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Locksmith role based in Chicopee, MA. The Locksmith will install, repair, rekey, and maintain a variety of locks & security hardware including, including door handles, deadbolts, panic / exit device hardware, door closers, key systems and related security hardware for residential, commercial, and institutional customers. Daily tasks include responding to service calls, diagnosing lock, hardware & door issues, performing routine maintenance, and documenting work performed. The role may involve new installations, conversions & hardware adjustments to ensure doors, frames, and locks operate correctly and safely. The Locksmith will interact directly with customers, provide clear explanations of services, and follow company procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in locksmithing, including lock installation, rekeying, and repair.
  • Candidates should possess skills in maintenance & repair and general maintenance for doors, hardware, and security systems.
  • Knowledge of security alarm system installation & service is a plus.
  • General maintenance skill, including safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Candidates should possess skills in millwork for fitting and adjusting doors, frames, and the related hardware.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Prior experience as a locksmith or in a related trade.
  • Industry certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to read work orders, use hand and power tools safely, and work independently on-site at customer locations.
