The Automotive Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing vehicle inventory at the dealership

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate account of all inventory and ordering new vehicles based upon business needs and on customer specifications
  • Insures proper color and trim mix is maintained based on sales history
  • Responsible for acting as a liaison between departments, dealerships, and buyers
  • Facilitates inventory swaps with other franchised car dealers
  • Maintains an inventory replenishment system ensuring proper levels of stock
  • Responsible for knowing where each vehicle is located (ie. Keep track of which vehicles are sold, pending delivery, transferred to another dealer, at another location, currently driven by a customer or used as a loaner or demo car)
  • Responsible for tracking all inventory write downs
  • Ensures proper payment and receipt of paperwork for dealership
  • Follows company safety procedures and policies
