SALARY RANGE: $48,500 - $78,642 per school year

We are recruiting for a full-time, tenure track teacher. Do you have experience working as an automotive services technician? Are you looking for a great career with outstanding benefits? We are looking for a motivated and energetic person to serve as the Teacher for our Automotive Services Program. Check out the duties and qualifications below:
DUTIES:
1. Provide instruction to high school students preparing for careers in Automotive Services.
2. Oversee all activities that provide high school students with a hands-on, practical experience in Automotive Services.
3. Implement curriculum according to industry and New York State school standards.
4. Arrange for speakers, field trips, and work experience opportunities for students.
5. Work in a team environment that fosters the philosophy of collaborative planning.
6. Communicate with school staff, parents, districts, and community agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Candidate must be willing to obtain NYS CTE Teacher Certification: Vehicle Mechanical Repair 7- 12.
2. Associate's degree in Automotive Maintenance and Repair with 2 years' experience OR
3. Minimum of 4 years of experience working as an automotive technician.
4. Automotive Services Excellence (ASE) Certification (Maintenance and Light Repair) preferred.
5. Commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development.
6. Enthusiasm towards working with students and their families to help the students succeed.
7. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
