Job description

Do you love digging into data, organizing, and problem-solving? We are part of a growing, family-owned auto group and are expanding our accounting office. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented assistant controller to support day-to-day accounting operations and help drive accuracy and efficiency across our auto group.

This role is ideal for someone with dealership accounting experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and assist our accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily accounting office operations
  • Perform and review account reconciliations (schedules, A/P, deal postings)
  • Support month-end close and financial reporting processes
  • Ensure accuracy in deal processing, funding, and title work
  • Work closely with management to maintain internal controls and resolve discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Accounting Degree required or in the process of obtaining degree
  • Prior automotive dealership accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds (DMS) strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to perform account reconciliations and clean schedules
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with office staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
