Job Summary

Tomball Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Automotive Business Development Representative (BDC Rep) to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all incoming phone and internet inquiries, identifying and nurturing sales leads, and setting showroom appointments for our sales department.

You will serve as the first point of contact for many customers, making professionalism, strong phone skills, and a customer-first mindset essential for success.


Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to online sales inquiries promptly

  • Log customer information, notes, and conversations accurately in the CRM system

  • Schedule showroom appointments and follow up with customers who do not show

  • Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the sales process

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of dealership inventory, products, and promotions

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers professionally when needed

  • Ensure potential customers are informed of current promotions and incentives

  • Follow all dealership policies and procedures

  • Assist with additional dealership tasks as assigned

  • Maintain a positive and professional image of the dealership at all times


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred

  • Previous automotive experience is a strong plus

  • Prior BDC, call center, telemarketing, or inside sales experience is a plus

  • Excellent phone skills with the ability to build rapport quickly

  • Proven sales or lead-generation experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and learn quickly

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
